I bought a German Shepherd puppy-now almost 8 years old-and very quickly realised that the most enjoyable way to train a dog is reward based.To this end I joined the Alpha Dog Training School, owned and run by Mr Steve Mann, where I learned many valuable lessons, and my dog and I really enjoyed the reward based training. It brought us much closer together and we have built a wonderful relationship as she has grown up and matured into adulthood.
The experience inspired me to become a trainer myself, and to this end I have attended the following courses and seminars with Steve and others connected to him.
The important thing to remember is: Training for both owner and dog should be fun!!!
There is never any need for physical punishment or admonishment towards our dogs.
Reward based training is not only fun but also more successful and long lasting.
